CrCCrystal block
in the form of a circular decagon in which a portrait of
Ludwig van Beethoven is cast in relief. The composer's
powerful head appears in three-quarter view. Engraved
lines flow around it like a halo of rhythm. The crystal
stands on a black base inscribed in gold with the
opening theme of the 5th Symphony. Introduced in 1970 to
commemorate the 200th anniversary of Beethoven's birth,
this masterwork is limited to an edition of only nine. |
