In 1959, Steuben
Glass produced an amazing 52 piece US in Crystal
Series of Covered Urns for all 50 states, Puerto Rico
and a giant version for the US. Each impressive 15"
state urn featured a detailed copper wheel engraving of
an element specific to the particular state. Only about
ten pieces were made for each state so these spectacular
items rarely appear in the marketplace. The W217 Maine
example features Fishing with a rugged Fisherman hauling
his catch. Properly signed and
in excellent condition. |
