Early Cut Pigeon

Steuben Piece # 6824

During the transition period of the late 1920's--early 1930's, Frederick Carder, founder of Steuben Glass, experimented with the first Animal pieces. Carder designed an extraordinary grouping of heavily cut, molded Animals including the Eagle, Duck, Peacock, Pheasant and the #6824 6 5/8" long Cut Pigeon. These unique and historically significant pieces rarely appear in the marketplace. Most knowledgeable Steuben Glass collectors are not even aware of these important works of art. Properly signed and in excellent condition.
