In the late
1960's, Steuben Glass produced a wonderful series of
Great Animals including the #5008 Great Hippopotamus
shown above along side the #8280 Hippo. Since the Great
Animals were only available for a few years, they rarely
appear on the resale market. The Great Hippo is 9" long,
properly signed and in excellent condition--an important
piece for any serious Steuben Glass or Hippo collector. |
